¹ Chat starts at Discover. Adding an API key on the Free tier does not unlock it — the Free tier reaches an AI model only through its 5 monthly free runs. ² The 5 free monthly runs exist on every tier, but on a paid plan with your own key they're irrelevant — your key covers classification and expansion with no cap. ³ You can add a key on the Free tier, but it isn't honored: you stay at 5 runs a month until you're on Discover or above.

Free runs: 5 a month, on Bridge

Every account gets 5 AI runs per month at Bridge's expense — no API key needed.

What one run does. It reads a single note and decides whether it's an idea worth developing or a reference to keep. If it's an idea, the run also writes its expansion — a short paragraph that draws out what you meant, so the note becomes searchable, connectable to related notes, and ready to turn into a plan later.

Reference notes use a run too, even though they don't get an expansion — the run is spent on reading and classifying the note either way.

Resets on the 1st of each month.
Needs a verified email — verify when prompted, or your notes wait.
Long notes are truncated to the first 2,000 characters for a free run.
Runs out? Notes that couldn't be processed say so. Add an API key on a paid plan and pull down to refresh — they reprocess on your key. Otherwise they wait for the reset.
Constellations aren't included. Free runs cover classification and expansion; the semantic clustering that forms constellations starts at Discover.

BYOAPI: what your subscription buys

Past the free runs, Bridge's subscription is an access fee for the workspace — not an AI markup. You supply your own API key from Anthropic, Gemini, or OpenAI. AI charges go directly to your provider account at their standard rates. No middleman markup, no surprise bills from Bridge.

A key is honored on a paid plan (Discover and above), where it gives unlimited classification and expansion at your provider's cost. On the Free tier a key isn't honored for those features — the 5-run cap still applies — so the Free tier stays genuinely free: your only cost is your time.

Bridge is one entitlement

If you buy Refine on web and sign into the mobile app, you get Refine on mobile. If you buy Build on iOS and sign into the web, you get Build on the web. One entitlement, surfaced everywhere.
